![]() ![]() The line to purchase the wine was ridiculous so we did not buy any wine or anything else. We tried the wine and decided to purchase a bottle. Very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. Eve was our hostess and she was excellent. We can wait in the restaurant and have a snack, oh sorry, no you can't, that wait is way too long. Well, we opted for the $35 tour only to be told that it was an hour and a half wait. The gate guard informed us that in order to step foot onto their precious grounds, we had to either purchase a tasting at $20 per person (which we were planning to do anyway but I don't like that expectation placed upon me) or the $35 tour including a vineyard ride on a golf cart. Our first impression of this place was wow, really pretty and since they stop accepting "commoners" at 2 p.m. This was our first trip to Fredericksburg wine country. We would've stayed to enjoy their patio after the tasting if it weren't for the fact that it was noon and we were already slighty sloshed. She did not push the membership, but talked us through which membership would be more suitable for us if we wanted to join based on the wines we liked. She offered advice based on what wines we liked, but her tasting notes and suggestions were not snobby at all. Our tasting ambassador was Ashley M, who we felt very comfortable with. You get to choose 4 off of their main wine menu (~20ish choices) so if you go with multiple people and you aren't afraid to share, you really can taste several more. This was by far the best wine that we had during our time in Fredericksburg. I was really skeptical reading the rules on their website when I made our reservation (5 people for tasting), but I have to say the wine is WORTH IT. ![]() ![]() If you are not a member, it can be pretty difficult to get in. Make sure you make reservations if you are looking to do any wine tasting here. ![]()
